IGE travels to the high mountain Dota Region of central Costa Rica to do community rural tourism. Part of the trip is an adventure course as well as family homestays and getting into the local culture by cooking up local recipes or helping with the coffee harvest, whatever the community is doing while we are there.

A Little Orientation
Eric, our Costa Rica Director discusses Culture Shock and Life with a Costa Rican family during an orientation session for a large group of American college students. Please note that this was part of an hour long orientation for students from other study abroad programs. The orientation to Costa Rica that Eric provides IGE students lasts an additional two days.
