Make Central America Your Classroom
“No es igual, verla venir que bailar con ella.”
(It’s not the same to see her approach as it is to dance with her.)
– Costa Rican Proverb
At IGE Costa Rica we know that nothing substitutes firsthand experience. You can read volumes about the Central American reality and Latin American culture, but one must live it to truly understand it.
For this reason, our students are given every opportunity to learn from the locals while completing a challenging academic semester.
These include:
- Family home-stays in both Costa Rica and Nicaragua.
- Volunteer and internship opportunities in both countries.
- Educational travel experiences engaging local experts.
- Social and cultural opportunities such as tropical dancing, theatre, sports, and other artistic events.
Studying with IGE Costa Rica will take you beyond the classroom to the heart of the people.
Accommodations and Meals
Students are housed in home-stays and are provided 2 meals per day by their family. Occasional group meals are also provided.
