Vienna and Central Europe

Study Abroad in Vienna with IGE

Your semester with IGE Vienna can be the most important semester of your university experience.

explore

Explore Viennese and Central-European culture firsthand by integrating directly into the society. Dine in authentic Viennese restaurants with fellow students, linger at the Schonbrunn Palace’s gardens, or simply observe the locals over an extraordinary cup of coffee at one of the many cafes.

Travel is an integral part of the Vienna program and all students take part in a series of excursions as part of the required Core Course. In 2008 this will include overnight trips to both Prague and Krakow. Throughout the rest of the term students will have the option of traveling on weekends and breaks throughout Europe.

learn

On the Vienna Program you will study with Professors from the University of Vienna in a variety of subjects. All of the courses are taught by professors holding the highest degrees in their fields.

Students take a “core course” as a group and may choose from a range of electives offered during their term. Beginning in the Fall of 2008 we are pleased to announce the addition of courses in International marketing and Economics allowing students to make International Business the focus of their studies.

The Vienna Program provides a unique opportunity to travel and study in Central Europe in either the Fall, Winter, or Spring terms of every academic year.

language skills

Expand your German language skills in a challenging immersion based intensive language program and through everyday interaction with the local Viennese. German language instruction is available at all levels from beginning to advanced. Students can earn up to twelve (12) language credit hours.
